ROOTING CLIPPINGS FROM PLANTS, BUSHES She starts with two clay pots, one larger that the other. She puts sand in the larger pot. Then she puts a cork in the bottom of the smaller one. She nestles the smaller pot down into the sand so that the tops of both pots are about even. There is a couple of inches of space between the small pot and the larger one. Now she takes cuttings about 4" long, the ends are cut at a slant, and dips them into a growth hormone to speed up rooting. Next she pushes the clippings into the sand between the pots. The final step is to fill the center pot with water that could have a little liquid fertilizer in it. The water soaks slowly into the sand so it has to be refilled almost daily. The roots take hold quickly so she has lots of new plants for her yard and garden. A good idea, cheap, easy and quick!

WHEN I SAY... "I AM A CHRISTIAN" I'm whispering "I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven." When I say... "I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect, My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it. When I say... "I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain.. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!

LOOKING FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT?
![]() THOUGHT FOR THE DAY........ “It’s common, around this time of year, to hear people grumble about Christmas being ‘too commercial.’ They have a point, of course. It’s easy to get so caught up in the buying frenzy that we forget why we celebrate Christmas in the first place. But let’s not sell ourselves short. The observance of Jesus’ birth also inspires countless acts of kindness and generosity.” —Rebecca Hagelin
